Step into a refined tasting experience centred around Prince Nagaya, a rare sake crafted using a 1,300-year-old brewing method, now brought to life for a discerning modern audience (includes a 720ml bottle of Prince Nagaya (RRP $189).

A selection of canapés accompanies each pour, presented and styled by  Emma Rosen, designed to complement and elevate the character of the sake. Served in numerous ways, from ice cold and at room temperature to expertly crafted cocktails, each expression reveals a different dimension.

Recently featured in the Australian Financial Review, Prince Nagaya offers a distinctive and immersive journey through flavour, texture, and history, revealing new layers of this exceptional expression with every pairing.

The experience is further elevated with premium caviar service via The Caviar Co. luxury trolley, presented in signature style, alongside a curated canapé menu designed to explore sake’s versatility across different culinary expressions.

SANCTUM is honoured to welcome Mr Tokuro Furuya, Consul‑General of Japan, and David Barron FIEP from Uknowwho, as our distinguished guests on the evening.

Mr Tokuro Furuya joined Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1991 and has held diplomatic postings in Russia, Canada, and Australia. He holds a Master of Arts from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Law from Kyoto University, speaks English, Chinese, and Russian, and has published on migration, working holidays, and economic security. As the Consul-General of Japan, he is responsible for Victoria, South Australia, and Tasmania.

Alongside David Barron, he will offer insights into sake's growing role as a bridge between Australian and Japanese business, culture, and collaboration, adding a deeper dimension to what promises to be a memorable night.
